12 Westchester Residents Charged With DWI During Super Bowl Weekend Police Details

While the New England Patriots took home the trophy on Saturday night, 31 drivers in the area did not enjoy the Super Bowl weekend, and were taken off the road for alleged impaired driving in the Hudson Valley.

Westchester County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Clement C. McCann, 55, of Cortlandt, for DWI with a prior conviction within 10 years, a felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, a misdemeanor, and operating without an interlock device, a misdemeanor. He was traveling on Route 9A in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Jorge Sanchez Lopez, 30, of Yorktown, for DWI. He was traveling on Main Street in Peekskill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Jose P. Carchipulla, 26, of Cortlandt, for DWI. He was traveling on Division Street in Cortlandt, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Hawthorne arrested Kenneth S. Honovich, 38, of Yonkers, for DWI. He was traveling on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Raymond W. Batista, 21, of Buchanan, for Aggravated DWI.   • On Sunday, Feb. 3, State Police from Somers arrested an eighteen-year-old, for DWI. The suspect was traveling on I-684 in Lewisboro, and was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that the suspect was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Dutchess County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Wappinger arrested John C. Darby, 58, of Beekman, for DWI. He was traveling on Hillside Lake Road in East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Dover Plains arrested Gene K. Tuck, 39, of Dover, for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on Route 22 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Poughkeepsie arrested Michael J. DiMaggio, 25, of Lagrange, for DWAI Drugs. She was traveling on Route 55 in Lagrange, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by drugs, and was subsequently arrested.

Putnam County

  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Stormville arrested Santos Acosta, 50, of Putnam Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Brewster arrested Enrique J. Hritz, 41, of Southeast, for DWI. He was traveling on Doansburg Road in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  •  On Sunday, Feb. 3, State Police from Stormville arrested Brandon L. Mercado, 46, of Putnam Valley, for Aggravated DWI.   • On Sunday, Feb. 3, State Police from Brewster arrested Mario Velardo, 38, of Southeast, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law.   • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Mohegan Lake arrested Romance D. Reed, 31, of Newburgh, for DWI. He was traveling on Main Street in Peekskill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Rockland County

  •  On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from East Fishkill arrested Guy A. Jenkins, 49, of Spring Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley, when he was found sleeping in his vehicle on the Parkway. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

  • On Friday, Feb. 1, State Police from Brewster arrested Rahi N. Patel, 26, of Danbury, for DWI. He was traveling on Danbury Road in Southeast, when he was involved in a one car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Saturday, Feb. 2, State Police from Cortlandt arrested Richard Ramos, 26, of Stamford, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 9 in Croton-on-Hudson, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
  • On Sunday, Feb. 3, State Police from East Fishkill arrested Joshua M. Levine, 34, of Wilton, for DWI. He was traveling on I-84 in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and was subsequently arrested.
